Waxed Farmhouse and Rustic Parts
Cleaning
Always use warm soapy water with a lint free cloth to wipe down your top. DO NOT use products that contain bleach, also stay away from any all in one or multipurpose cleaners. We do not recommend you use Pledge or conventional furniture polish. We do recommend Wood Silk Non-Silicon.
Dealing with scratches, marks and dull wear
To remove a light scratch or mark you need to recoat that area with a bit of clear/light (non-tinted) wax. We recommend the brands Briwax and Fiddes. Always follow the instructions on the tin. To revive a dull finish you may have to recoat the entire top. Apply the wax directly onto the existing finish.

Furniture Placement
Where to place your furniture
As with any timber it needs time to acclimatise into its new surroundings. Putting new furniture into a very warm climate or near sources of heat can cause the timber to acclimatise and dry out too quickly, resulting in cracking and warping, the worst situation for this is rooms with underfloor heating. Recoating your top monthly can help slow this process down. Turning down/off any heating source and slowly rise the room’s temperature to a comfortable level over a long period is recommended. 2-4 Weeks is ideal and no more than 15 degrees.
